Roland Unger wrote to me:

> Dachla. According to official sources there are about 200 springs, but only 50 springs accessible to the public. At Ma'sara according to official sources 15 springs, but only two of them accessible to the public. Best known well is well number 3 (Mut Talata 43 °C, a drilled well), or the 'magic Spring' (about 30 °C, natural) and Bir el-Qalamun (drilled). Bathing is possible. Bir el-Gebel Spring is widely known, but ruined.

> Bahariya Spring at el-Bawiti: Different thermal springs at drilled wells. Bir Siqam (
ÈÆÑ ÓíÞÇã, or ÈÆÑ ÓíÌã/Bir Sigam) situated about 900 meter to the east of Mandischa (28.343166, 28.952250), near the street. One spring is at the International Hot Spring Hotel (about 40 °C, 28.355458, 28.883118) and the Bir el-Matar Spring (more than 40 °C, sulphurous and high in iron, 28.384930, 28.912016).

> Charga/Kharga. Bulaq
and 'Izbat Nasir, two villages about 20 kilometers south of the town Charga have (only according to official sources) many sulphurous hot springs (43 °C), but there are only one drilled well per location for bathing and accessible to the public, about 20 °C, high in iron,. Bulaq: 25.211180, 30.532020. Izbat Nasir/Nasser Camp: 25.253028 30.525250.
